The surname "Rots" has been around for over 350 years. Modern-day Rots' come from the town of Aalten near the German border in the Netherlands. These pages are meant to provide a reasonably comprehensive guide to the surname and its origins.

The family tree is shown here to whatever degree I've finished it. Please be patient - it currently (October '99) contains 455 people and 160 families. It is now up-to-date, with data from our most recent family reunion now entered. There are still sizeable pieces of the appendices that still have to be entered, and much information regarding birth/death/marriage/divorce dates and places was missing (or illegible) from the additions I received in August.

The Family Tree Presents the current edition of the family tree. A GEDCOM (Genealogy standard interchange format) file is available for download here as well.
Rots family address book Hopefully, this will be up over the coming months. Arnold Poelman is currently compiling an up-to-date address book. When it is presented here, it will be password-protected, so your data is available only to other family members.
Rots chat forum A place for everything pertaining to the Rots family. Another item currently under development...
